ELEPHANTS ALL THE WAY DOWN!
An ignorant and pathetic mentor one sunny day
Taught his class the world is on a turtle’s back lay
Claimed the theory of creation as one funny soiree
Then educated the young minds no more to say!
But little smart Joe can not resist today
The question in his query mind begins to play
“What if the world is on a turtle’s back lay,
What keeps the little turtle safely stay?”
With an open mouth the mentor has naught to say
Tried to think of reasons his mind can sway,
Then quickly he thought of one sense to say
“The turtle is held by a rabbit, hooray!”
But little Joe thinks of the rabbit thing
In his tender mind is really not okay.
“If the turtle and the world is on a rabbit’s back lay
What keeps the rabbit safely stay?”
The mentor thought and though away
Keeping his idle idea from being a sure slay
Remembered to mention, bigger animals he may
Wolf, cheetah, giraffe, and the elephant gray!
“But what keeps the big elephant to stay?
With all these animals and the world a-sway?”
“My little boy, this is all what I can finally say
Forget this sham idea, it is elephants down all the way!”
